４速オートマチックトランスミッションにおいて、トランスミッションケース内部の潤滑油路が不適切なため、高速走行時（６５Ｋｍ／ｈ超え）に、プロペラシャフトとの潤滑が不足となることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、トランスミッション後端部が破損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。また、一部の車種においては、プロペラシャフトが外れ、燃料タンクを損傷させ、燃料漏れとなるおそれがある。
Remedy
For all vehicles, verify the manufacturing date of the automatic transmission case and implement the following corrective measures if applicable: Inspect the extension housing and propeller shaft. (1) If no abnormalities are found in either component, add a spacer for lubrication oil passage modification inside the automatic transmission. (2) If abnormalities are found in either or both the extension housing and propeller shaft, inspect the automatic transmission output shaft; if abnormalities are detected, replace with a new propeller shaft and a corrected automatic transmission with modified lubrication oil passages. (3) If abnormalities are found in either or both the extension housing and propeller shaft, inspect the automatic transmission output shaft; if no abnormalities are found, add a spacer for lubrication oil passage modification inside the automatic transmission and replace both the propeller shaft and extension housing with new units. As an interim measure until corrective work is completed, affected users are requested to discontinue high-speed driving (over 65 km/h).
