４速オートマチックトランスミッションにおいて、トランスミッションケース内部の潤滑油路が不適切なため、高速走行時（６５ｋｍ／ｈ超え）に、プロペラシャフトとの潤滑が不足となることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、トランスミッション後端部が破損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。また、一部の車種においては、プロペラシャフトが外れ、燃料タンクを損傷させ、燃料漏れとなるおそれがある。
Remedy
All vehicles shall be inspected for the extension housing and propeller shaft. (1) If no abnormalities are found in either component, add a lubrication oil passage modification spacer inside the automatic transmission. (2) If abnormalities are found in either or both the extension housing and propeller shaft, inspect the automatic transmission output shaft; if abnormalities are found, replace with a new propeller shaft and a corrective automatic transmission with modified lubrication oil passage. (3) If abnormalities are found in either or both the extension housing and propeller shaft, inspect the automatic transmission output shaft; if no abnormalities are found, add a lubrication oil passage modification spacer inside the automatic transmission and replace with a new propeller shaft and new extension housing. As an interim precautionary measure pending the supply of corrective parts, all users are requested to refrain from high-speed driving (exceeding 65 km/h).
