The fastening structure of the rubber-equipped bracket securing the fuel injection pump's injection tube is inadequate. As the bracket's rubber deteriorates, the mounting bolts and nuts loosen, potentially causing the bracket and fasteners to detach. Detached bolts or nuts may become wedged between the starter motor and terminal, causing a short circuit. In the worst case, this can damage the starter harness, rendering the vehicle unable to start, or result in fire. 燃料噴射ポンプの噴射管を固定するゴム付金具の締付構造が不適切なため、当該金具のゴムが劣化すると取付ボルト、ナットが弛み、当該金具及びボルト、ナットが脱落することがある。そのため、脱落したボルト、ナットがスタータモーターと端子の間に挟まるとショートし、最悪の場合、スタータハーネスが損傷し始動不能となる、又は火災に至るおそれがある。 （備考）本件は、平成１６年９月２９日付け「届出番号１２５４」にてリコール届出を行ったものですが、対象車の選定に集計漏れがあったため、対象車を追加し、新たに届出するものです。
Remedy
Implement the following measures according to the bracket's mounting structure: ① If the bracket is bolted, replace it with a counterpart fitted with a spring washer and adhesive applied to the bolt thread surface. ② If the bracket is secured with a nut, replace the flanged nut with a non-flanged nut, add a spring washer, apply adhesive to the embedded bolt's thread surface, and tighten. Additionally, inspect the bracket's rubber condition and replace any deteriorated rubber with new parts. Affix a caution nameplate with maintenance notes to the top of the engine.

当該金具の取り付け構造に応じ、次の措置を行なう。 ①当該金具をボルトで締付ける場合は、ボルトネジ面に接着剤を塗布したスプリングワッシャー付の対策品と交換する。 ②当該金具をナットで締付ける場合は、フランジ付ナットをフランジなしナットと交換し、スプリングワッシャーを追加するとともに、植込みボルトのネジ面に接着剤を塗布し、締付ける。 さらに、当該金具のゴムの状態を点検し、劣化しているものは新品と交換する。 なお、整備時の注意事項を記載した注意銘板をエンジン上面へ貼付する。
