空気式駐車制動装置において、ホイールシリンダ用ブーツの取付け作業が不適切なため 、気密性が不十分なものがあり、ブーツ内に水が浸入してドローロッドやウエッジロッド が錆びて、ドローロッド摺動部の動きが悪くなり駐車制動力が低下することがあり、最悪 の場合、ウエッジロッドが折損することにより、当該車輪の駐車ブレーキが作動しなくな り、著しく駐車制動能力が低下するおそれがある。
