The starter motor condition detection logic may fail to function correctly, causing the starter motor to remain inoperative. Consequently, the engine restart motor is used continuously, placing excessive load on the accessory belt that drives the restart motor. This belt may fracture as a result. Continued operation may lead to insufficient charging, illumination of warning lights, battery depletion, loss of electrical system functionality (fuel pump, ignition system, etc.), engine shutdown, and either loss of propulsion or engine overheating.
