BMW/MINI: Primary brake system

In the integrated brake unit, due to inadequate manufacturing control, the weld between the servo motor hollow shaft and bearing bush may not be properly executed. This weld cannot withstand the rise in brake pressure and may fracture. When this occurs, brake pressure generation ceases and the integrated brake system switches to fallback mode, illuminating the brake warning light and displaying a check control message. Brake operation requires greater pedal force than normal. There is a risk that the engine may not start on the next ignition attempt, and anti-lock brake system (ABS) and dynamic stability control (DSC) may not function.
