In the brake booster pump of the electronically controlled hydraulic brake system, the injection mold for the plastic brush holder, which is a component of the pump motor, is improperly designed, resulting in insufficient clearance between the brush and holder. During pump operation, the holder experiences thermal expansion, causing the brush to catch on the holder, which leads to poor electrical contact in the pump motor. As a result, the pump motor may not operate and the warning light illuminates. In the worst case, the power-assisted braking function may be compromised, potentially extending the braking distance.
